A Quasi Oppositional Gray Wolf Optimization (QOGWO) algorithm has been used in this work to decipher the economic load dispatch of hydrothermal system. Dynamic problem involves scheduling committed generators meet demand with minimum fuel cost and several constraints which are dynamic nature. It is basically short-term (STHS) problems through cascaded reservoirs. Instead pseudo-random numbers quasi-opposite initialize population proposed QOGWO method so that convergence rate GWO increases. The viability projected approach verified three standard multi-chain systems four interconnected hydro systems. number thermal units differ from one system another. Water transportation delay between reservoirs, Valve Point Loading (VPL) have considered different combination cases. technique put forth established superior many recent findings for STHS increased complexities.
